Nuthatch Barn is the perfect romantic retreat within the glorious Devon countryside, close to the breathtaking North Cornish Coast with many stunning dog friendly beaches. One of three delightful holiday cottages at Little Derril, this pretty, single-storey barn conversion sits adjoining Stonechat Barn, opposite the owner’s farmhouse. Skilfully converted in 2018, the original barn dates back over 300 years.
An ideal choice for couples at any time of the year whether you are looking to just relax and recharge your batteries, or engage in outdoor activities. The living area opens onto a small enclosed garden where you can enjoy an alfresco supper and on a chilly evening there is a cosy wood burner to curl up beside. There is a large TV and DVD player and a selection of DVDs, books and games for you to enjoy during your stay. Guests are welcome to use the owner’s fields for games or exercise.
Have a break from the cooking and enjoy an evening at the popular village inn and restaurant in Pyworthy, just ½ mile away. Holsworthy, 2½ miles away, has a good selection of local shops, a supermarket, town amenities, a golf club and an indoor swimming pool and leisure centre. Bude is nearby with its beaches, historic castle, vibrant town centre with a great range of good restaurants and bars and sea pool. Water sport enthusiasts can try their hand at surfing, bodyboarding, coasteering and other shoreline activities at the numerous beaches.
Nearby Tamar Lakes has a great array of water sports and fishing available and there is coastal and country walking, golf, surfing, horse riding and cycling on the National Cycle Route 3 which passes by the cottage. There is something for everyone to enjoy in this stunning location. Pretty fishing villages and spectacular beaches and coves are dotted all along this coastline from Padstow, Tintagel, Crackington Haven and Bude in Cornwall to Westward Ho!, Clovelly and Instow in Devon. For a great day out, the famous Eden Project is within easy reach and stunning Dartmoor is just over half an hour away. Beach 8 miles. Shop 2½ miles, pub and restaurant ½ mile.
