Set within the glorious Devon countryside and close to the breath-taking North Cornish Coast. One of three luxury holiday cottages at Little Derril, this pretty upside-down cottage adjoins Nuthatch Barn, opposite the owner’s historic farmhouse. There are two pretty bedrooms downstairs (one double and one twin) and a light and modern open plan kitchen/living space upstairs. Why not relax with a lazy breakfast in the private, enclosed garden while you plan your day. The living area has a cosy wood burner to relax beside on chilly evenings, along with a large TV and DVD player with a selection of DVDs, books and games for you to enjoy during your stay. Guests are welcome to use the owner’s fields for games or exercise.
Holsworthy is an historic market town just 2½ miles away and has a good selection of local shops, a supermarket, amenities, a golf club and an indoor swimming pool and leisure centre. The village of Pyworthy, with its popular village inn and restaurant, is just ½ mile away. Bude is nearby with its beaches, historic castle, vibrant town centre with a great range of good restaurants and bars and sea pool. Water sport enthusiasts can try their hand at surfing, bodyboarding, coasteering and numerous other shoreline activities at the numerous beaches.
Within easy reach, there is coastal and country walking, golf, horse riding and cycling on the National Cycle Route 3 which passes by the cottage. Nearby Tamar Lakes has a great array of water sports and fishing available. There is something for everyone to enjoy in this stunning location. Pretty fishing villages and spectacular beaches and coves are dotted all along this coastline from Padstow, Tintagel, Crackington Haven and Bude in Cornwall to Westward Ho!, Clovelly and Instow in Devon. For a great day out, the famous Eden Project is within easy reach and stunning Dartmoor is just over half an hour away. Beach 8 miles. Shop 2½ miles, pub and restaurant ½ mile.

“Stonechat Barn is a comfortable and very well-equipped cottage in a peaceful location near to the coast. The owners have gone to much effort to ensure a Covid Secure environment and the barn was spotlessly and reassuringly clean. The interior is calming and uncluttered with some lovely creative touches from the owner. Two adults and an 11 year old fitted in perfectly and my daughter loved her surf-beach themed bedroom. The secluded back garden with very comfortable garden furniture was much appreciated and we enjoyed the fields around the cottage where we saw kestrel, stonechats and deer. We had a lovely sunny week at Stonechat Barn and would love to return!"
